School Factions Project [Hongfire Hub]

Have you ever heard of.. The School Factions? They were a group of high schoolers who modify their school uniforms to suit their own style and flair to differentiate themselves from normal students as a means of identification regarding their status as authorized peace keepers in a boarding school rampant with crime of unknown origin.

It was once rumored that their member numbers once reached over 750,000 in ranks united across all existing Factions. They however are very obscure in their movement and only students of the circles knew of their sizeable movement. This all lasts until the crime rates are somehow drastically driven lower in relation to their efforts. With this, their numbers dwindle down leading to their unofficial disbandment. The school's authorities are very quiet about it and never reveal just what really happened, who were the criminals wreaking havoc constantly within the school and what became of them nor the Factions upholding themselves against them and why do they disband altogether.

Although recently, similar criminal instances start to occur within school grounds again. One girl, Shirla Shanie, learnt of the legend of School Factions and decide to take up suits distinguished from the rest and reestablish the School Factions for once again in facing the second uprising. Her genuine cause is quickly followed by her dearest ojou-sama friend, Meridi Meira, who also established an allied Faction of her own. Together, they brave the unknown to pursue the continued crisis originating from the years of the original School Factions era.



School Factions is originally a series of outfit texture mods I made for the AO rated game Artificial Academy. Although it's an adult game, the mod itself isn't pornographic in nature, far from it. In fact it was done because I think the game's choices of clothing was so boring (only plainly coloured clothing textures for only one model of clothing) hence my attempt at making it livelier with a part of the lore entailed above in mind. I then RPed with the characters I create in-game and the lore expands from there, acquiring enough basic plot points to encompass an entire story for the original School Factions.

The idea of a second School Factions give rise in the wake of Artificial Academy 2, which features mods that enable much more clothing options. Although I haven't and probably never will opt another School Factions outfit texture mods for the the game's sequel, the thought of fiddling with ideas by RP-ing yet again with it is undeniably fun and that's what this project is mostly about. To have fun with.


It's mostly about getting creative with developing concepts for the School Factions lore. From the characters to environments, to expanded character relationships, stories and new Factions. Either meant as a manga, games, etc. etc. It might be far from getting to becoming either of those mentioned just now, but I've kept in mind since early on that this is more for the fun rather than return. Although it might become at least something later.

For starters, I'll be doing this all by myself although I'm also welcoming pitches from members from the community. Be it art, designs, stories and whatnot. Think of this thread as a pool for getting creative with School Factions in mind.

This project will have hubs for access on other sites such as Facebook, DeviantArt and Pixiv for promotion purposes. Although do note that hubs like this one for HF here is unique unlike any other. For instance, I'm thinking of implementing a system in this hub here where members who play AA2 can contribute their character cards & in-game images complete with outfit to be included in the lore of School Factions. If I like them enough, I might develop art for them! Think of it as getting free art done for your favourite AA2 character! :D
