After spending hours dealing with numerous errors, I have given up on trying to install the Japanese RTP, but there is a workaround that works great. I found the extracted RTP files on the "Violated Heroine" thread and they work for any Japanese RPG Maker game. Since the file poster on the VH thread has used up his Rapidshare bandwidth, I'm posting a link of my own to these files. Simply copy them to the game directory, merge folders but DO NOT replace any files, and add the following lines to the .ini file above "GameTitle"
FullPackageFlag=1
s
That tells it that the RTP files are included in the file folder.
Once that is complete, the game should work. Mine did.
There seems to be no way to get this to install for some people and it's an installshield problem, particularly with Windows 7 64-bit according to countless posts I've read encountering these same problems. I hope this helps anyone in need.
